TIt was improved by the additional exhibition space of a 2015 wing, is viewed as the finest gathering of compositions in Switzerland, speaking to both old experts and present-day craftsmanship.

On the main floor are the old bosses and an accumulation of French and Dutch depictions.

The second floor houses an extraordinary accumulation of nineteenth and twentieth-century Impressionists, Expressionists, and Surrealists.

You'll discover significant works by Gauguin, Van Gogh, Corot, Cézanne, Braque, Picasso, Kandinsky, Léger, Chagall, Klee, Dali, Max Ernst, and others, alongside later works and unique presentations.

Note that the fundamental working of the Kunstmuseum Basel is shut for redesign work until April 2016.
