About Chateau de Tourbillon
It is a castle in Sion in the canton of Valais in Switzerland.
It is arranged on a slope and faces the Basilique de Valère, situated on the contrary slope. The palace was demolished in a fire in 1788.
It is a Swiss heritage site of national criticalness.
Ruling over the ripe Rhône Valley from its peak roost above Sion, the disintegrating stays of this medieval fortification, decimated by flame in 1788, are justified regardless of the firm walk for the postcard sees alone; wear strong shoes as the rough way is bristly in places.
