About Aresjon
The Åresjön is famous among locals and visitors, it is a lake arranged at 372.4 meters above mean ocean level in Åredalen, Jämtland County, Sweden, with essential inflow and surge being Indalsälven.
The lake is 6.4189 km2 vast; it has 9.8 meters of normal profundity and achieves 19.2 meters at the most profound point. The European course E14 and Mittbanan railroad keep running along the northern coastline through Åre and some minor settlements.
Ski Area lies on the northern bank of the lake; Åreskutan and Renfjället crests are on each side of the valley.
The lake is solidified from late November to early May, which makes it ideal for ice skating.
