Odisha has decided to promote Buddhist tourism in eastern states along with Uttar Pradesh. For this Odisha state tourism department recently organized road show in Varanasi to target tourist in the city. The road show was to grab the opportunity of Buddhist followers, as Uttar Pradesh is the greatest source of tourism for the state. Odisha has popular golden beaches, teeming wildlife, sprawling lakes, majestic temples, lush forests, teeming wildlife, Buddhist sites, handicrafts, monuments, and exotic handloom that remain the center of attraction for tourists. Moreover, its colorful fairs, primitive tribes, festivals, cuisines, music and dance promotes it the suitable tourist spot.
The main intention of conducting road shows in various cities all around India is to showcase the beauty of Odisha, Buddhist heritage sites and artistic heritage to attract tourists from every corner of the country. Odisha has golden triangle of Konark, Bhubaneswar and Puri that attracts people even from overseas along with Buddhist heritage sites like Lalitgiri, Udayagiri, Ratnagiri, Dhauli and Langudi.
Hence, Odisha Tourism Development Corporation is taking active participation in promoting tourism in the state by various road shows that finally leads to tourism development in the state.
