About Soller
Soller is a town and district close to the north west shore of Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands of Spain. The town is somewhere in the range of 3 km inland from the Port de Soller, in an expansive, bowl-molded valley that likewise incorporates the town of Fornalutx and, and the villages of Biniaraix and Binibassi. The joined populace is around 14,000. A well known cable car, the Tranvia de Soller works in the town, connecting Soller to the Port de Soller. Soller is connected by the memorable railroad, the Ferrocarril de Soller, and by a roadway with a toll burrow, to the Majorcan capital of Palma. The Ferrocaril was based on the benefits from the orange and lemon exchange and finished in 1911.
The present-day economy depends predominantly on the travel industry and the use of remote inhabitants, integral to the rural economy based around citrus and olive forests. The focal point of the town is the Placa Constitucio which is encompassed by bistros and has plane trees and a wellspring in its inside. The cable car goes through the Placa on its approach to and from the primary station which has been re-established to join a historical center of Picasso and Joan Miro. The congregation of Sant Bartomeu Saint Bartholomew confronting the east side of the Placa is flanked by the ajuntament town lobby and the Banco de Soller, a wonderful 1912 Modernista working with characterizing ironwork, by the Catalan planner Joan Rubio I Bellver, an adherent of Antoni Gaudi.
