About Alexander Garden

Alexander Garden is a primary public park in Novocherkassk, Rostov oblast, Russia, named after Emperor of Russia Alexander I. It is the eldest park inside the town. The park became hooked up in 1832 on nine ha city-owned land. It is positioned within the south-east of Novocherkassk among Platovsky road,Aleksandrovskaya street, Pushkinskaya and Atamanskaya road.The park changed into installed on a former Aleksndrovskaya square. The new park occupied south part of the rectangular. Right aspect of the park has survived to this day. Visitor attractions included two barrows and stone arch. Alexander garden's viewing point at the barrow attracted traffic. It supplied views of the Don steppe.
The park consisted of lime tree walks with combination of sand and sawdust. There have been benches alongside walkways. A lot of musicians executed on a podium. Monument to Matvey Platov turned into opened in 1853 along of the principle park entrance. Platov based Novocherkassk in 1805. The monument was the primary sculpture within the metropolis. The Ataman palace turned into built in the back of the monument in 1863. The first fountain became erected after commissioning of water pipe in Novocherkassk in 1865. Appearance of the park became complemented through a sensitive iron-solid railing which was designed via architect Radionov.
