About Remetea Mare
Remetea Mare is the village of residence of the commune of the equal call in Timis county, Banat, Romania. The first documentary attestation of the Great Remnant dates from 1333, however maximum likely the age of the village is greater, in its territory being traces of early habitation. The village was known as Remetea Timisana, an opportunity name used thus far. In the Middle Ages, there could had been the fort Sasvar, cited in the papal tithe files of 1333 and which might have played a protection role for the city of Timisoara.
Other details about this agreement aren't recognised, however within the famous call the call of a place known as "Susioara" became stored. During the Turkish occupation of Banat, no agreement data is understood. It is best on Mercy's map from 1723 that the name Remeta seems, which designates the areas right here, certainly one of which belongs to the Ambrozy circle of relatives. The modern records of the town is connected to the name of this family. Initially they bought the property to other owners, but then they recovered it, and in 1720 Baron Ludovic Ambrozy built a mansion that has been preserved today. In 1848 this mansion served as a campaign sanatorium.
