About Museum of Natural Sciences
The Museum of Natural Sciences in Roman was founded in 1962 by the caretaker of the late museographer Constantin.
The space for the museum, consisting of 8 rooms, is located in Alexandru cel Bun Street, no. 5. In the same complex there were 3 other buildings, as well as the area of land - approx. 5 hectares - for the zoo and botanical gardens.
The building of the museum was built in the nineteenth century by the first director of the Romanian Hospital, Dr. Alexandru Theodori, but was taken over by Bishop Melchisedec Stefanescu to be transformed into a parish house, then with the nationalization they were transferred to the patrimony of the administration local.
