Caldararu

Caldararu is a commune in Arges County , Muntenia , Romania , which includes the villages Burdea , Caldararu and Strambeni. The commune is placed in the south of the county, inside the Gavanu-Burdea Plain , on the right bank of Teleorman . It is crossed by way of the DN65A countrywide street linking Pitestiul de Rosiorii de Vede . At Caldararu this street intersects with the county street DJ679A, which leads west to Bârla and to the east to Raca and Popeşti.

Also from DN65A, Strambeni branches the county street DJ679C, which leads east to Izvoru and Mozaceni. According to the census performed in 2011 , the population of Caldararu commune amounts to 2,562 inhabitants, down from the preceding census in 2002 , whilst there have been 2,984 inhabitants. Most of the population are Romanian. For five percent of the populace, ethnicity is unknown. From a confessional factor of view, most of the population are Orthodox. For 5 percent of the population, confessional membership is unknown.
