Ciomagesti

Ciomagesti is a commune in Arges County , Muntenia , Romania , including the villages Beculesti , Bratia , Ciomagesti , Cungrea , Dogari , Fedelesoiu , Giuclani , Pauneşti and Radutesti. The commune is placed within the western extremity of the county, at the border with Olt and Valcea counties , on the banks of the river Cungrea. At the give up of the 19th century, the commune changed into part of Oltul de Sus internet of Olt county and it consisted of Radatesti, Fedelesoiu, Beculesti, Dogari, Badarai, Paunesti and Stanuleasa villages with a total of 1228 inhabitants residing in 320 homes.

In the commune there had been three churches, a school with 50 college students and a mill at the Cungrea River. At that time, every other commune, also called Ciomagesti and located within the Olt area of Argeş County , functioned on the prevailing territory of the commune .
