About Zawiercie
Zawiercie is a town inside the Silesian Voivodeship of southern Poland with 51,880 inhabitants. It is situated within the Krakow Czestochowa Upland close to the source of the Warta River. The metropolis has also historically been recognized by way of the names Zaveyurchy, Zavertse, Zavirtcha and Zavyerche. The city lies near the historic place of Silesia, but belongs to Lesser Poland. In 1945, it becomes made a part of the Katowice Voivodeship. Zawiercie is domestic to a sports activities club Warta Zawiercie, hooked up in 1921. First mention of the village of Kromolow comes from 1193.
In the 14th century, the village changed into placed in western Lesser Poland, alongside a service provider avenue from Krakow to Poznan. In 1431, Prince Bolko IV of Opole allowed a person named Mikolaj Czenar to open a motel here, and in his report, the call Zawiercie is noted for the first time. In the 15th century, the vicinity became the early middle of iron production, but notwithstanding this Zawiercie remained for centuries a small village. Until the 19th century, it became divided into Zawiercie Male and Zawiercie Duze each administratively belonged to the gmina of Kromolow.
