About Government Palace

The Government Palace, otherwise called Palace of Pizarro, is the seat of the official branch of the Peruvian Government and the official living arrangement of the President of Peru. It is situated on the north side of the Plaza Mayor, Lima, "City of the Kings." It was worked in 1535 on the site of a gigantic huaca that had a hallowed place of the old Lima valley's cacique Taulichusco.

The royal residence is a stately government working with an arrangement of fancy gatekeepers. It is conspicuous by the expansive fashioned iron fence that encompasses the building and lines one side of the Plaza Mayor behind the Rimac River. The Government Palace was worked by Francisco Pizarro, the legislative leader of New Castile. At the point when the viceroyalty of Peru was set up, the castle turned into the emissary's home and in this manner the Peruvian government's central station. It has experienced numerous changes throughout the years.

The last one was finished in the twentieth century by President Oscar R. Benavides amid his second government in the 1930s. The fundamental planner of its last modifying was Ricardo de Jaxa Malachowski. The castle has a few stately rooms watching out onto a well-kept patio cultivate. As per legend, a fig tree log achieved Pizarro's hands which he planted and dealt with it. It developed and a similar tree, in spite of testing times, is as yet alive today. Today, the royal residence includes various patios, lobbies and rooms committed to prominent figures of Peruvian history.
