About Theta Museum

An extremely little, one-room historical center in the old Bryggen Hanseatic quarter in the core of Bergen, Norway, this could well be one of the contenders for the title world's littlest gallery.

Its fundamental display is simply the room that houses the historical center – thus it is additionally known under the designation "Theta Room" instead of "exhibition hall".

It was the mystery HQ of a neighborhood office of the Norwegian Resistance amid the German occupation in WWII.

It was in reality so well shrouded that it was just found unintentionally by the Germans, who quickly obliterated it, in 1942. The present room is hence just a reproduction.

This protection cell, which called itself the Theta Group henceforth the gallery's name, basically had the point of looking after interchanges, incorporating with the Norwegian government in a state of banishment in Great Britain.

As needs are, the old radio hardware is the primary concern to find in this small gallery, together with photographs, maps and an automatic weapon on the divider.

For more considerable commodification of the point go to the Resistance Museum in the close-by Bergen Fortress complex.
