About Ki Castle

Ki castle was a Japanese castle of the kogoishi type, constructed in the late 7th century by the Yamato Imperial court. The site, on Kijo Mountain in today the Okayama Prefecture town of Soja, is viewed as a national landmark. Segments of the palace were reproduced in the mid 2000s. The palace's name actually signifies "evil presence chateau" as per a conventional tale, a devil named Onra or Ura once controlled Kibi Province from the mansion. The palace is the premise of the fantasy that is related with the old stories saint, Momotar.

The amazing story of Kibitsuhiko-no-mikoto and Ura clarifies that the Prince Ura of Kudara used to live in Kinojo palace of the fallen angel and was a reason for inconvenience for the general population living in the town. The sovereign's administration sent Kibitsuhiko-no-mikoto Momotaro to crush Ura. Following the annihilation of Yamato Japan in the 663 skirmish of Hakusukinoe by a cooperation of Tang China and the Korean kingdom of Silla, Emperor Tenji arranged the development of guards against a conceivable attack. As per the Nihonshoki, twelve Korean-style mountain fortresses were worked in western Japan right now, and it is trusted that Ki chateau was one of them.
