About Chion-in

Chionin is a famous place among locals and visitors, it is the head sanctuary of the Jodo order of Japanese Buddhism, which has a large number of devotees and is one the most well known Buddhist organizations in Japan. The sanctuary has extensive grounds and vast structures. Guests will without a doubt see the sanctuary when they run over its enormous Sanmon Gate. At the focal point of Chionin is an open zone with stone ways interfacing the sanctuary's principle structures.

The enormous Miedo Hall houses the sanctuary's standard protest of love: a statue of the cleric Honen, who established the Jodo faction. The Hojo Garden is situated behind the Miedo Hall and is worked close by the cleric's living quarters. It is a customary Japanese garden that was planned by a priest in the mid 1600s. The Yuzen Garden is found just adjacent to the Sanmon Gate and was outlined in current circumstances.
