About Tronchetto

Tronchetto is a manufactured island in the Venetian Lagoon, northern Italy, situated at the westernmost tip of the primary Venice island. The island was made in the 1960s, and now is utilized as an auto stop for vacationers who can't carry their vehicles into the city.

The Venice People Mover interfaces Tronchetto with Piazzale Roma, the principle Venice transport station, which lies at the edge of the downtown area.It is an artificial island in the Venetian Lagoon, northern Italy, located at the westernmost tip of the main Venice island.
