About Sulmona Cathedral

Sulmona Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Sulmona, Italy, and is the seat of the Bishop of Sulmona-Valva, formerly of the Bishop of Sulmona. The Diocese of Sulmona-Valva is a Roman Catholic ecclesiastical territory in imperative Italy, created in 1986. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of L'Aquila. The diocese changed into created in 1818 when the Diocese of Sulmona and the Diocese of Valva had been united.
