Montefiore Windmill

Standing 18 meters high, this is a Jerusalem point of interest you can't miss. It was worked in 1857 to control a flour process.

It's situated in the beautiful neighborhood of Mishkenot Sha'ananim, the main Jewish neighborhood worked outside the Old City dividers in 1860.

In 2012, the windmill was reestablished with another top and sails, and it hands over the breeze by and by.

It likewise fills in as a little exhibition hall devoted to the accomplishments of British Jewish financier and altruist Moses Montefiore – for whom the windmill is named.
