About Yamunotri temple

At a separation of 5 km from Janki Chatti, 13 km from Hanuman Chatti, 46 km from Uttarkashi and 50 km from Barkot, Yamunotri Temple is arranged in the western locale of Garhwal Himalayas at an elevation of 3293 m in Uttarkashi area of Uttarakhand.
The sanctuary, roosted on Bandarpunch parvat, is the primary spot to visit in Chota Char Dham circuit. The sanctuary is committed to Goddess Yamuna and has a dark marble icon of the goddess. The sanctuary of Yamuna, on the left bank of the Yamuna, was first worked by Maharani Gularia of Jaipur in the mid nineteenth century. The sanctuary was harmed in the earth tremors of 1923 and 1982.
