TAPT KUND

Tapt Kund is well known among locals and visitor, there is another Kund beneath Tapt Kund called the Narad Kund where the present picture of Badrinarayan is said to have been found by Adi Shankaracharya. Explorers normally don't bathe here and the kund is viewed as holy.

Around the Kund zone, there are 5 major stone rocks known as Panch Shilas thought about hallowed by the enthusiasts. Narad Shila is arranged adjacent to the Tapt Kund, and it is said the considerable lover of Lord Vishnu, Bhakta Narad used to live here. The famouse Garud Shila is arranged while in transit to sanctuary from the Kund towards the sanctuary. Narsimha Shila, Varahi Shila and Markandeya Shila are covered up in the Alaknanda waters.
