The suspension bridge or the Lakshman Jhula is one of the most and need to go place and visit when one is in Devprayag. It is one of the iconic figurine of Devprayag over Alokananda and Bhagirathi River. The suspension bridge here spans the Bhagirathi River. The water underneath is a startling green in color. Downstream just a few meters away Bhagirathi joins the Alaknanda at the much revered spot, Devprayag
There are 2 iron suspension bridges, one over Alaknanda and another one over Bhagirathi. The place give a panoramic view of the city in the morning and in the evening time it gives another view where the city glitters with the lights which is must to look at. It gives a nice view of the sangam (the confluence of the river Alkonanda and Bhagirathi River). The flow of the river can sometimes be very strong and deafening while crossing the bridge.
Many movie and shootings are held in their bridge like “Dum laga ke haisa”; the famous song “Moha Moha ke Dhage” was shot here.
