Raghunath temple

The temple is situated in Debprayag and is dedicated to Lord Ram, it also enshrines the figurine of its consorts; Goddess Sita and brother Lakshman. The temple was built by Raja Jagat Singh. He brought the idol of Ram from his birth place in an unethical manner. To dissolve his sin He constructed the temple.

The temple is also known as Tirukantamenum Kadi Nagar in Debprayag. The temple is located near Trivani Ghat, and the ritual of the dusk Aarti on the Ghat is very impressive. The temple resides a Kund which is called Rishikund, believed that Lord Ram used the Kund for bathing when was separated.it was also believed that Lord Ram mediate here at this place to wash off the curse of killing Ravana; demon.

According to the mythology, the banyan tree in this place would withstand all the disasters and withstand in all. It is one of the ancient temple lies below the confluence of two rivers; Bhagirathi and Alakananda. The temple is one among the 108 Divyadesham of Vaishnava Sampradaya dedicated to Vishnu.
