Prabal Fort

Prabal Fort, however in ruins, is among the most antiquated landmarks of the area. The fortification was roosted on Prabal Hills on the western side of Matheran. This authentic stronghold was caught by the Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji from Mughals. That is exceptionally lovely place in Matheran.

According to students of history, there was treasure at the stronghold amid the season of catch. Alongside two portals and eleven towers in the stronghold, there is a lake over Prabal slopes. The passages were mostly annihilated in the uncongenial battles of 1818. By and by, dividers of four towers remain as a declaration of the times of yore.
