Pilikula Nisarga Dhama

Pilikula, the name itself briefs its importance. There is a colloquialism that long back Tigers were moving toward a lake at this place later on called as Pilikula. Pili signifies 'Tiger' and Kula signifies 'Lake'. Pilikula Nisargadhama was the mind offspring of the previous Deputy Commissioner of DK region Mr Bharat Lal Meena, IAS and present incharge secretary of DK region, a farsighted visionary in his works and a capable overseer who started this venture to thrive in Mangaluru. His principle expectation was to ration bio-assorted iety, legacy and culture of Coastal Karnataka. Mr Bharat Lal Meena was joined by Mr John Richard Lobo KAS, known as J R Lobo a famous Karnataka State Administrative administration Officer who assumed responsibility as the organizer Executive Director and labored for a long time at Pilikula Nisargadhama. He served for this venture as the complete self with keeping close connection with all the Governmental Departments, Minister's, Corporate Heads and furthermore with organizer Chairman of this extraordinary task to grow new units. Pilikula Nisargadhama now renamed as Dr Shiam Karantha Pilikula Nisargadhama according to the requests of High Court and Government of Karnataka.
