About NITK Beach

This beach is organized on the southwestern seaboard of the Indian sub-landmass, abutting Surathkal. It is 20 km from the point of convergence of Mangalore city. The northern extension of Suratkal Beach, it was later named after the contiguous NITK National Institute of Technology, Karnataka.It is a private shoreline. A reference point was worked at the shoreline in 1972. The recognizable lines to regulate over Surathkal were the Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas, Hoysalas and the pioneers of the Vijayanagara Empire. Surathkal was similarly controlled by Aurangzeb who leased the place to the pioneers of the Wodeyar line. You can explore and experience this place more.
