About Naimisaranya

Naimisaranyam is a Hindu sanctuary devoted to Vishnu situated in the north Indian province of Uttar Pradesh. It is also known as Neemsar, Nimsar or Nimkhar. It is one of the Divya Desams, the 108 sanctuaries of Vishnu loved in Nalayira Divya Prabandham by the 12 poet saints, or Alwars. The sanctuary is accepted to be of critical vestige with commitments at ious circumstances from the decision lords.

The sanctuary is considered one of the eight sanctuaries of Vishnu that self-showed and is named Swayamvyaktha Kshetra. There is a blessed tank Chankra Kunda which is related with the sanctuary and it is a journey focus where individuals take a holy dip during festive occasions. The sanctuary is open till 6pm.
