About Nageshwara Jyotirlinga Temple

Nageshwara Jyotirlinga Temple, likewise called the Nagnath sanctuary, is situated in the edges of Dwarka, in Gujarat. It is a popular Lord Shiva Shrine in India, which is arranged between Gomati Dwarka and Beyt Dwarka Island. Nageshwara is one of 12 Jyotirlingas said in the Shiva Purana. The lingam revered in this sanctuary is that of Nageshwara Mahadev, symbolizing assurance from a wide range of toxic substance. The feature of the sanctuary is the Nageshwara Mahadev Shiva Lingam, which is a goliath statue. This sanctuary is remarkable as in the Shiva Lingam faces toward the south and the Gomugam faces towards the east. As per the Shiva Purana, Lord Shiva began living in the sanctuary after he murdered an evil spirit named Daaruka. This place was subsequently named after this devil as Darukavana. Shiatri celebration is praised in stupendous style at this sanctuary, which is gone to by multitudinous lovers from over the world. Voyagers can take rides in transports and auto rickshaws to visit this sanctuary, which is around 10 km from the principle town.
