Mastikatte

Mastikatte is an important temple which is situated in the Shimoga district, Karnataka which is dedicated to Devatas forest. The most important element of the temple is that the temple is devoid of any covers and shelters.

According to legends it is believed that the temple resides supernatural powers or special powers which cures all kinds of diseases.  Here devotees offer cradles, bangles, flowers and bells to the temple. The temple is takes half hour to reach from Kollur. The place is a must go to witness such cultural richness.
