Once, when the senior individuals of Braj including Nanda Maharaj were getting ready for the Puja of Lord Indra, Shri Krishna, a youngster at that point, addressed them in the matter of why they were doing as such. Nanda Maharaj disclosed to Krishna this was done each year to please Lord Indra with the goal that he kept on gracing the general population of Braj by giving precipitation as and when required.
However, little Krishna wrangled about that they were agriculturists and they should just do their obligation or 'Karma' to the best of their capacities, by focusing on cultivating and securing their steers, instead of performing pujas or lead penances like this for any regular wonder. At long last persuaded by Krishna, the villagers did not perform with the puja.
