About Gomukh Temple
The Gomukh temple is arranged on the edge of the Lonar city. In the one the Kunda tank in the temple, there is an interminable water stream. The water stream is called as 'Dhar' in Marathi consequently the sanctuary is likewise named as 'Dhar Temple' and the Kunda in which the stream is channelized is called as 'Dhar Kunda' which is expected by lovers to be heavenly. Figures in the temple inside the pit delineate the legendary tales about the arrangement of Lonar Lake. In Sanskrit, salt is called as 'Lavan' and evil spirit as 'Asur'.
It is trusted that an evil presence named Lavansur made inconvenience to mother earth. Earth claimed the Lord Vishnu to execute the evil spirit. Manifestation of Lord Vishnu was as kid. He murdered the evil presence with a little harm to earth and the devil kicked the bucket and went inside the earth. The salt lake framed on the spot, known as Lonar. There are around 14 sanctuaries inside the Lonar pit. Huge numbers of the sanctuaries are worked in the Hemadpanti style however now have fallen into demolish.
