The Gaula River, is a river in India starting in the Lesser Himalayas and in its lower course it is also known by the name of Kichha. It is about 510 km long. It starts in the Sattal pools of Uttarakhand state, and streams south past Kathgodam, Haldwani, Kichha and Shahi, finally joining the Ramganga River around 15 km 9.3 mi northwest of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, Ramganga in this manner is a tributary of the conduit Ganges.
It is primarily a spring bolstered stream; this waterway is wellspring of water for Haldwani and Kathgodam. A delightful dam exists over this stream in Kathgodam.
