Dutch garden

The Dutch garden in Surat is largely cemeteries of the officials who landed and settled in Gujarat on their commercial enterprise ventures. Dutch garden is one of the most vast gardens in Surat. The tomb of Baron Adrian Van Reede, who was director of the Dutch Company in India, stands out arrestingly in the Dutch cemetery. In 1612, the British mounted their trading manufacturing facility in Surat quickly to be followed by using the Dutch and French.
