About Barki Memorial
The Barki Memorial was worked in 1969 to celebrate the demise of fighters having a place with the seventh Infantry Division who battled the skirmish of 1965. Lt. Gen Harbakhsh Singh VC established the framework in 1969 and its initiation was finished by Lt. Gen HK Sibal MVC.
It is a piece of the Saragarhi Complex and has a column in the center, a drinking fountain in the north, a Barki turning point and a Patten tank in the south. The column is made of gneiss and white and red sandstone and has a tallness of 27 ft. The moldings and help carvings display a traditional Indian structural style.
