About Bangaram Atoll

Bangaram is an atoll in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, India. It has a distance of 2,022 km south of the town of Delhi. The atoll has a roughly square form and is 8.1 km in period with a most width of 4.2 km. And with a lagoon place of 36 km2. It is located over 400 km off Kochi & 525 km from Kollam Port within the Indian Ocean.

Bangaram atoll is ready 7 km northeast of the island of Agatti and 25 km to the southeast of Perumal Par, inside the western Lakshadweep archipelago at 10°56′N 72°17′E. Bangaram atoll is attached to the reef of Agatti through a shallow submarine ridge. Bangaram Island, the principle island in the atoll, has a small population of 10. Bangaram Island Resort became located on the east coast of this island. Thinnakara, has a creation camp for the new hotel being built on its west coast.
