About Lindach

The Lindach is a little stream in the focal lower regions of the Swabian Alb, which ascends beneath the Reussenstein Castle in the Neidlingen valley and streams into the Lauter in Kirchheim unter Teck. It goes through the towns of Neidlingen, Weilheim a der Teck and the Jesingen area of Kirchheim unter Teck. The source chambers are situated at the highest point of the edge. The karst water streams mostly from the eastern cove and after a couple of meters over the tuff shade of the Neidlingen waterfall.

A legend recorded by Wilhelm Hauff keeps up that the source was shaped when a mammoth attempted to jump from one side of the valley to the next and slipped. The Lindach at that point spouted from the opening he made in the stone. The upper Lindach valley otherwise called Neidlinger valley is a well known traveler zone. The vestiges of Reussenstein Castle are notable, just like the waterfall close to the wellspring of the Lindach. In the region of the waterway, we discover the Randecker Maar cavity and the Limburg mountain.

Somewhat further abroad, we discover the wellspring of the Fils stream, the Teck chateau and Lenningen valley. The scene of the lower Lindach valley is less appealing, yet the old town of Kirchheim is beautiful, particularly the adjacent town of Holzmaden with its outstanding Primeval World Museum Hauff, which contains a standout amongst the most essential accumulations of fossils in southern Germany.
