About Kreuzkirche

The Kreuzkirche is a Lutheran church in the focal point of Hanover, the capital of Lower Saxony, Germany. The Gothic corridor church is one of three temples in its Old Town; the other two are the Marktkirche and the now-destroyed Aegidienkirche. It was committed in 1330 to the Holy Cross. The congregation ended up Lutheran in the Reformation. It was extended at that point, and redesigned in the nineteenth century. Crushed by bombs in World War II, it was revamped in less complex shape. It got a sacrificial table by Lucas Cranach which had been in the Schlosskirche that was not modified. The official name turned out to be then Schloss-und Stadtkirche St. Crucis Hannover.

The area of the Kreuzkirche was in 1284 isolated from the Marktkirche ward. A congregation was blessed in 1333, worked in sandstone brick work, committed to St. Spiritus et Crucis. The present church is a Gothic corridor church with one nave of four coves and a rib vault. At the point when the natives of Hanover acknowledged the Reformation in 1533, the congregation wound up Lutheran, and the principal Lutheran message was held then in the Kreuzkirche. In 1560, it was extended to change in accordance with the distinctive needs of a Protestant assembly. In 1982, the area was converged with the Aegidienkirche to the Marktkirche, which is in charge of issues, for example, building, shows and compositions.
