Haan

Haan is a town situated in the area of Mettmann. It is situated at the western edge of the Bergisches Land, 12 km southwest of Wuppertal and 17 km east of Dusseldorf. In 1975, Gruiten was incorporated into Haan.

It is situated on the bank of river Rhine. Its source is east of Wulfrath. It streams westbound through the Neander Valley where the fossils of the primary Neanderthal man were found in 1856. At Dusseldorf it frames a waterway delta by part into four streams Nordliche Dussel, Sudliche Dussel, Kittelbach, Bruckerbach, which all join the Rhine after a couple of kilometers. It is one of the delightful place to visit in Germany.
