About Walk the Old Town

Going for a walk around the medieval quarter of Cognac Vieux Cognac truly resembles taking an excursion back in time. A significant number of the structures go back to the fifteenth and sixteenth hundreds of years and are a portion of the first places possessed by the early cognac traders.

Holy person Léger Church and Priory: – This congregation was work in the mid twelfth century as a Latin cross with vaults. The Romanesque façade was changed with the inclusion of a huge rose window.

La Maison de la Lieutenance: – This expansive half-timbered house, worked in the sixteenth century, incorporates etched heads. The Lieutenant General of Cognac remained here in the start of the seventeenth century, and that is the place is got its name.
