Santa Claus' Main Post Office

Santa Claus' Main Post Office is a traveler destination in Santa Claus Village within the Arctic Circle, approximately eight kilometers north of Rovaniemi. It is the simplest legitimate Santa Claus´ Post Office and a part of the Finnish postal services. It is open all a year and over a hundred international media and about a million site visitors from round the arena are welcomed by means of Christmas dressed postal elves. In 1985, Santa Claus’ Main Post Office received over 17 million letters. In 2014 Santa Claus obtained maximum letters from China, Italy and Poland. In Santa Claus' Main Post Office visitors also can examine letters dispatched to Santa.

A letter author can arrange to have a letter mailed to them from Santa earlier than Christmas. The Santa Claus' Main Post Office constructing is made from herbal stone and pine bushes. In the front of the building is Elf’s tower. In 1950, Eleanor Roosevelt, the spouse of America President, made a go to Rovaniemi. Roosevelt Cottage was constructed to commemorate her mailing the first letter sent from inside the Arctic Circle with a unique stamp on November 6, 1950. The cottage remains in front of the Santa Claus' Main Post Office.
