About Gefion Fountain

The Gefion Fountain is a gigantic wellspring on the harbor front. It incorporates a gigantic scale social event of animal figures being driven by the astounding Norse goddess, Gefjun. It is arranged in Langelinie Park nearby Kastellet and is the greatest historic point in Copenhagen and used as a wishing outstandingly. As demonstrated by an old-fashioned legend, Gefion was the goddess who wrinkled the island of Zealand out of Sweden.

The Swedish ruler Gylfe offered the goddess Gefion as much land as she was prepared for wrinkling inside one day and one night. She had changed her four kids into greatly exceptional bulls and had them wrinkle so significantly in the ground that they raised the land and moved it into the sea.
