About Bernstorff Palace

Bernstorff Palace in Gentofte, Copenhagen, Denmark, became constructed in the middle of the 18th century for Foreign Minister Johann Hartwig Ernst von Bernstorff. It remained in the ownership of the Bernstorff family till 1812. In 1842, it changed into sold by using Christian VIII. For a few years, it turned into used as a summer residence via Christian IX till his dying in 1906. Since then and till these days, it became used by the Danish Emergency Management Agency as an academy for non-commissioned officers, however it has now opened as a resort and conference centre.
