Day 1: Arrival Cochin Arrive in Cochin airport/Railway station and transfer to hotel. Check in hotel and freshen up. Afternoon proceed for Cochin sightseeing covering Mattancherry Dutch Palace - (closed on Fridays and public holidays), which was built by the Portuguese in 1555 and renovated by the Dutch in 1663. Visit a Jewish Synagogue-(closed on all Saturdays and Jewish holidays) in Jew Town and Fort Cochin Area. There are a couple of streets of picture-postcard houses out of another age. Visit St. Francis Church - (closed for visitors on Sundays from 08.00 to 11.00 hrs.) the oldest European Church in India. It has several antiquities including a wealth of records. See the Chinese Fishing Nets, along the tip of Fort Cochin unique to this part of Kerala and living symbols of a centuries-old Chinese influence on this coast. Evening enjoy sunset cruise at Marine drive. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 : Cochin to Munnar (135kms) Today morning after breakfast check out and proceed to Munnar. Munnar is a picturesque hill station situated in the eastern part of Kerala; lush green-carpeted tea and coffee plantations surround it. The beautiful landscapes, cozy weather, and the artistically cut tea plants make Munnar one of the most sought-after destinations in South India. Munnar is situated near the Anaimudi Peak, the highest peak in the Western Ghats. On the way, stop at Cheeyappara waterfalls. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Munnar Today morning after breakfast visit Eravikulam national Park famous for Nilghiri Mountain goats, Tea museum explains about the processing of tea. Mattuppetty dam which has an artificial lake built by a small hydroelectric project. Echo Point is known for the natural echo affect it produces. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Munnar – Thekkady (100kms) Today after breakfast depart for Periyar by road. Arrive Periyar and transfer to hotel . The town also houses one of world’s most fascinating natural wildlife sanctuaries. A visit to Periyar also provides you the opportunity to see wildlife at close ranges, besides the varied vegetation and a wide variety of birds. Lying at an altitude of 700-1900 m above sea level, Periyar has a cool and comfortable climate. Out here, you can also go for treks and mountain walks or visit spice plantation or enjoy boat ride at Lake Periyar, Kathakali, Kalarippayattu show etc (On direct payment basis). Stay overnight at the hotel.

HOUSE BOAT 3

Day 5: Thekkady - Alleppey (140 kms) After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Drive to Alleppy and arrive by the afternoon, House boats are olden day’s rice boats which used to transport items like rice and coconuts across Kerala. Check into the Houseboat and take lunch and enjoy rest of the day at leisure cruising in the backwater till 05.30 pm. Dinner and Stay overnight at the Houseboat.

Day 6: Depart to Cochin( 85 km 3.5) Today after breakfast check out from House Boat and proceed for Cochin airport for onward journey.
