The Koli fishermen are the oldest inhabitants of Mumbai. As the name suggests the main occupation of Kolis is fishing. As the men folks go out into the sea for fishing it is the firebrand Koli women who sell the days catch and deal with customers. They have settled in the ious fishing villages close to the sea front.
