Rectors Palace

Rector's Palace was the seat of the Rector, who was chosen to the post each month so as not to feel the sweetness of energy. Amid his rule, the Rector did not leave the castle unless statesman and convention commitments required. Heap Gate and Ploce Gate were drawn each night and bolted with the keys given to the Rector overnight, which he at that point came back to the general population toward the beginning of the day. In Knezev Dvor there were corridors for sessions of the Great and Small Council, an ordnance, prison, courthouse and powder magazine which twice detonated, shattering royal residence, which was in the end reconstructed in the Baroque style.
