About Kunde Ling

Kundeling Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist religious community in Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region, China. The leader of the cloister has a place with a heredity of incarnations that goes back to 1402, also there is disagreement regarding the present incarnation and it takes place at the Gelug school and was established around 1794.

Kunde Ling signifies "quiet and glad" in the Tibetan dialect.The first Kunde Ling Monastery was worked in 1794, one of four regal sanctuaries in Lhasa.

The religious community was devastated amid the Cultural Revolution, at that point revamped in 1980.It is thought to have been the successor to the Yangs-dad can, or Yangs-can, a religious community established in 1490 and decimated in 1792.
