About Daming Temple

Daming Temple is a temple situated at the center pinnacle of Shugang Mountain, Yangzhou, Jiangsu, China. The sanctuary building itself is comparable in both style and structure to other Chinese sanctuaries. On entering the sanctuary entryway, guests are welcomed by a stately opening that was worked in memory of the old Qiling Tower. The lobby behind the opening is the Hall of Heavenly Kings, in the focal point of which sits the enormous stomached Maitreya Buddha, grinning generally to welcome visitors and guests.
The following lobby is the Mahavira Hall, the primary focal point of the sanctuary. This corridor is committed to the Great Buddha, Sakyamuni. His figure overwhelms the focal point of the room while statues of other Buddhist divine beings encompass him. These divine beings are in charge of the great gather and serene existence of the general population. The rest of the space is that of the Scripture Repository. The structures around there go back to the Qing Dynasty.
Daming Temple has been a famous tourist attraction for hundreds of years. Some portion of its allure lies in its destinations of verifiable and social significance, chiefly the Pingshan Hall, worked by Ouyang Xiu-a broadly known Song Dynasty Poet, and the Gulin Hall, worked by Su Dongpo to celebrate the life of his educator, Ouyang Xiu. Numerous well known Chinese writers, for example, Li Bai, Liu Yuxi, Bai Juyi and Su Dongpo visited the site and composed ious lyrics to applaud its appeal.
