About Tianning Temple

The Tianning Temple situated in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China, is noted for its monster wooden pagoda, the Tianning Pagoda. Development started in April 2002 with the opening function for the finished structure hung on April 30, 2007, where a horde of several Buddhist priests accumulated for the service. With 13 stories and a tallness of 153.79 meters, this wooden pagoda is currently the tallest pagoda on the planet, taller than China's tallest existent pre-present day Buddhist pagoda, the Liaodi Pagoda worked in 1055 at a stature of 84 m. In spite of the fact that the current pagoda was worked by April 2007, the sanctuary grounds and the pagoda have a background marked by development and demolition for as far back as 1,350 years, since the season of the Tang Dynasty.
On the finishing of the new pagoda at Tianning Temple, the leader of Changzhou, Wang Weicheng, expressly associated his city's monetary advancement with that of religious improvement in China. Following the finish of religious abuse after the turbulent Cultural Revolution 1966– 1976, the Chinese Communist Party has loose its control over religion, particularly Chinese Buddhism, which has somewhere in the range of 100 million disciples inside the People's Republic of China. The appointee abbot of Tianning Temple, Kuo Hui, said that like different religions Buddhism advocates peace and congruity, with thoughts that could be valuable to Chinese society.
