About Georgina
Georgina is a metropolis in south-relevant Ontario, Canada and the northernmost municipality within the Regional Municipality of York. The town is bounded to the north through Lake Simcoe. Although included as a town, it operates as a township, wherein dispersed communities percentage a common administrative council. The largest groups are Keswick, Sutton and Jackson's Point; smaller groups consist of Pefferlaw, Port Bolster, Udora and Willow Beach.
The city changed into formed via the merger of the Village of Sutton, the Township of Georgina and the Township of North Gwillimbury in 1971, and turned into integrated in 1986. North Gwillimbury had previously been a part of Georgina, but have become its personal township in 1826. It took its name from the circle of relatives of Elizabeth Simcoe, nee Gwillim. Georgina was the proposed call for London, Ontario through John Graves Simcoe.
The important centres in Georgina are the groups of Keswick, Belhaven, Sutton West, Jackson's Point, Stanley Baldwin, Virginia, Pefferlaw, Port Bolster, Udora and Willow Beach. Other settlements include Jersey, Cedarbrae, Brown Hill, Island Grove, Elm Grove, Roche's Point, Sibbald Point, Virginia / Virginia Beach, McRae Beach, Duclos Point, Balfour Beach, Varney, Brighton Beach and a spread of other seashore communities.
