About Belgrano

Extending once again from the River Plate, the barrio of Belgrano deceives the upper east of Buenos Aires Centro and is circumscribed toward the northwest by Nuñez, toward the southeast by Palermo and toward the south by Coghlan, Colegiales and Villa Urquiza.

Initially, the territory involved in the area shaped piece of the Pago de los Montes Grandes, which was a prospering landscape for domesticated animals brushing that spread from Retiro to San Isidro. Named after General Manuel Belgrano, the maker of the Argentine banner, the historical backdrop of the barrio is a fascinating one.

Following the general's demise in 1820 a law was passed to give his name to the following new town, which in the long run occurred in 1857, then town saw so much moment development that it was soon pronounced a city and in 1880 even filled in as the country's capital, though for close to fourteen days.

In 1887, the government region of Buenos Aires developed to consolidate Belgrano and Flores likewise a town at the time, in this manner making the areas of today.
