About Woodruff Park

Woodruff Park, named for Robert W. Woodruff, is situated in the core of Downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The recreation center's 6 sections of land 2.4 ha are north of Edgewood Ave, between Peachtree Street NE and Park Place NE. The recreation center incorporates two wellsprings, an execution structure, and a few monuments. During the pave the way to the execution of Troy Davis, Woodruff Park filled in as a revitalizing point for walks and revives for his life and opportunity.

The unique 4 sections of land 1.6 ha between Peachtree Street, Edgewood Avenue, Pryor St. presently Park Place and the Candler Building were acquired namelessly by Mr. Woodruff at that point gave to the city in 1971 and the principal incarnation of the recreation center opened in 1973.
